INTRODUCTION TO BIBLICAL HEBREW
with Dr. Douglas K. Smith, Jr. (PhD, Biblical Studies, Old Testament concentration from Columbia International University)

Please complete the form below if you're interested in a two-semester introduction to (or review of) Biblical Hebrew using Hélène Dallaire's Mastering Biblical Hebrew, using a flipped learning model where you watch Dr. Dallaire's instructional videos and complete the reading and exercises throughout the week, and then we meet to review concepts and exercises, take questions, and work through additional Bible passages.

The class would meet online weekly (recorded for those who might have to miss) from September to early December (taking off Thanksgiving week) and then from January to late April (taking off the second full week of March), with three in-person workshops each semester. The workshops would provide further review and social interaction with communicative use of Biblical Hebrew. The workshops would be held at a location in Bristol, Virginia, or Bristol, Tennessee (dates, locations TBA).

Tuition: $400 USD per semester (payable all at once or in 4 monthly installments of $100)

Add-on for homeschool transcript service (for homeschoolers needing formal grades): $50 USD per semester

I am looking at limiting the course to 12 students, giving first consideration to local students, but if there is sufficient interest and availability, an additional section of the course might be offered as well, especially for distance learners.

I plan to announce details for the class by August 25 and open applications/registration shortly afterward.
